The City of Mexicali held last week a Star Wars marathon at the CREA Cultura complex that included movies, arts, crafts and an exposition.
The event was organized by the city’s Cultural Arts Institute and started at 2 p.m. with the “A New Hope” movie.
The Star Wars Base Mexicali Fan Club held a series of seminars regarding the movie series and actors.
Flyers and action figures were exhibited during the event.
In the meantime, the Music Band of Secundaria 50 Junior High School played some of the saga music.
Merchants installed booths to sell Star Wars-related items.
Kids were able to get their faces painted of Star Wars characters.
During the eight hours of the event attendants also got free shirts, stickers, pins, action figures and other items.
