Police agents arrested the suspects at Río Acaponeta Avenue and Padre Kino Street on a gray 2005 Honda Accord.

Inside the vehicle police officers found a .380 caliber revolver loaded with a magazine and four cartridges.

The suspects were taken to the police headquarters.

A woman was arrested Wednesday evening after being stopped on a California-registered vehicle that was reported stolen, said the Municipal Public Safety Department.

Authorities said at 7 p.m. police officers arrested Ana María “Doe,” 46, at 1151 José María Michelena Avenue at Colonia Independencia Avenue.

    Men indicted for separate robberies

Two men were indicted Wednesday in separate cases for their alleged involvement in a couple of robberies, said the Attorney General’s office.

Authorities said one of the indicted suspects is Javier “Doe,” 39,who presumably committed a robbery at the Oxxo convenience store located at Fraccionamiento Villas de la República neighborhood on March 24.

The suspect arrived at the scene with a metallic stick and threatened employees.

The agency reported the suspect took 2,000 pesos or $117 and left the store on foot.

Mexicali police officers arrested the suspect moments later.

In the second case a judge indicted René Guadalupe “Doe,” 26, for the March 25 robbery at the Oxxo store located at Fraccionamiento Valle del Puebla in Southeastern Mexicali.

The suspect allegedly arrived at the scene and brandished a pipe wrapped in a blanket to make it appear as a firearm.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money but was arrested blocks ahead by Mexicali police officers.

The judge decided to keep the suspect behind bars for the remainder of trial and gave detectives at least one month to close the investigation.
