A man was indicted for his alleged involvement in the Aug. 2016 robbery against a bank customer, said the Attorney General’s office.
Authorities said a state judge indicted Andrés “Doe,” no age reported, for the robbery reported on Aug. 10 at a bank branch located at Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard and Fourth Street in eastern Mexicali.
The suspect allegedly brandished a firearm to take 150,000 pesos or $8,333.
Authorities said after the robbery the suspect fled on a black Honda CRV.
The judge decided to keep the suspect behind bars for the remainder of trial and gave detectives six months to close the investigation.
Men arrested for robbery
Two individuals were arrested Monday afternoon for their alleged involvement in a robbery against a pharmacy in eastern Mexicali, said the Municipal Public Safety Department.
Authorities said at 4:30 p.m. a robbery was reported at Farmacia Del Pueblo, located at Río Santa María Avenue and Ninth Street at Colonia Mirasol neighborhood.
Police officers arrested Sinuhe “Doe,” 35 and Raúl “Doe,” 47.
The police said the suspects arrived at the scene with a knife with which they threatened employees.
The suspects were able to get 300 pesos or $16.67 and flee on a gray 2004 Nissan Sentra.
Authorities said Raúl “Doe” had three arrest warrants for abuse of authority, residential robbery and sexual assault.
The suspects were transported to the police headquarters.
