    Kindergarten schedule unchanged

The state Education System said the scheduled at the kindergarten level has not been changed and is ongoing as previously set.

In a press release, authorities said Mexico’s Undersecretary of Basic Instruction Javier Treviño released a memorandum informing local authorities that the programs launched this school year in kindergarten seek to increase quality and equality as set by the Education Reform.

The federal official said several measures were implemented in order to comply with the law and does not mean an increase in working hours for educators nor a modification of school staff.

Treviño asked state authorities to respect the working hours of educators, but underlined that one of the programs seeks to respect teachers and staff rights.

Based on a new law, federal authorities increased education in kindergartens nationwide.

The state said schedules will not be changed based on federal mandate.
