A car accident left a U.S. resident dead in a rural town Friday evening and three other people with injuries, said the Municipal Public Safety Department.
The police said the accident was reported at 5:40 p.m. at First Street and Felipe Angeles Street at Ejido Sinaloa.
Authorities identified the deceased individual as Santa Luján, 25, with U.S. residence in an undisclosed city.
The police said the driver of a sand-colored 1991 Honda Accord with Arizona plates was driving at the rural town street at high speed and crashed a blue 1995 Freightliner semi-truck that was parked on the area.
Authorities were not able to determine who the driver was as all those injured were transported to a hospital before the police arrived.
The other individuals injured were identified as Israel Rodríguez Rangel, 25, Rodrigo Rodríguez Rangel, 35 and a minor of less than 1 year of age.
