    State vehicle registration launched

A state agency launched Monday a new vehicle registration for owners of cars that are illegally in the country.

Secretary of Planning and Finance Antonio Valladolid said the State Vehicle Registration list was opened for owners of vehicles registered overseas that are located in Baja California.

The goal of the registration is to determine the size of the illegal vehicle issue in the state.

The registration will remain opened for a 90-day period and is completely free.

Vehicle owners can register their vehicles on the state’s website by providing car information like year, make, model, series number, date of acquisition and details about the mechanic conditions, the city where it is located, owner’s income, all other documentation and a picture of the vehicle.

Vehicle owners can also register their automobiles at the state Revenue office at Civic Center.

Secretary Valladolid said the registration will be considered for the development of programs.
