Authorities hold immigration meeting
Federal, state and local officials held Wednesday a meeting to address the needs of immigrants who have arrived in recent months and those who have been deported from the U.S.
Migrant Affairs Director Gustavo Magallanes said the meeting was the eleventh held.
The director said 1,239 immigrants from Haiti and Africa are in Mexicali while up to 3,200 are in Tijuana, living in shelters, churches and infant care facilities.
