A man who allegedly committed sexual abuse against his niece over 11 years ago was arrested by state police officers, said the Attorney General’s office.
Authorities identified the suspect as Ismael Félix González, 53, who was apprehended at Colonia Lucio Blanco neighborhood.
A judge released the arrest warrant against the individual for rape and sexual abuse.
The incident was originally reported on February 2006 by the victim’s mother.
The agency said the minor said the suspect took advantage of being alone with the victim to commit the abuse.
Authorities said the then 6-year-old girl muted due to the alleged threats from the suspect.
The abuse occurred at the victim’s Colonia Vicente Guerrero residence.
González was booked in Mexicali Jail.
Double homicide suspect arrested
State police officers arrested recently a man who allegedly killed two individuals over six years ago, said the Attorney General’s office.
Authorities said the suspect was identified as José Luis “Doe,” who also uses the name Miguel Angel, aka “Grande” or “Chiquilín.”
The agency said the suspect was involved in the Oct. 2010 murder of Luis Miguel Olguín Hernández and Julio César Roa Molina.
According to the investigations the suspect and victims arrived at a residence located at Hermenegildo Galeana Street at Colonia Miraflores neighborhood on a white Kia SUV with California plates, where they began consuming drugs.
The suspect then left the scene to purchase gasoline and after returning he allegedly shot the victims.
Roa Molina died at the scene and Olguín Hernández succumbed to injuries at Mexicali’s General Hospital.
The suspect was booked Wednesday in Mexicali Jail, the agency reported.
