A resolution introduced by a Mexican Senator and former Mexicali Mayor was approved at Mexico’s legislative upper chamber that requests a presidential report regarding Republican candidate Donald Trump’s visit.
Sen. Víctor Hermosillo, a member of the National Action Party, made the request that requests the Secretary of Foreign Affairs to disclose the content of the meeting held Aug. 31.
The request also includes the disclosing of the United States working plan and the creation of an External Policy Council with senatorial, presidential and academic members.
“Our country has a lot more things and a lot more relationships with the United States than the ones we have with other countries around the world,” Sen. Hermosillo said. “So we have to take care of it in all areas.”
