    Residents protest against bar

Tired of scandals at early stages, damages, burglaries and other inconveniences caused by customers dozens of residents at Fraccionamiento Residencias held a protest against La Tetera Bar.

Protestors demanded authorities to close the venue or turn it into a restaurant as originally permitted.

Residents held the protest Friday night few yards from the site at Benito Juárez Boulevard.

If authorities do nothing residents said they will make a blockade on the busy street.

Impacted residents said since the venue opened they have been suffering battery and tire burglaries, as well as damages on vehicles, fights between customers and even attempted kidnappings, a situation is no longer bearable, they said.

Several years ago residents agreed on the opening of a bar that was eventually succeeded by the bar.

Suddenly, the place became a karaoke and bar and later turned into a bar with live music that closes at 3 a.m.

Many customers leave intoxicated, fighting, throwing trash on the street and even urinating just in front of their homes.

Local residents have asked City officials to address the issue and even filed a document with over 600 signatures, but their demands have been ignored.
