One men was reported dead and three other injured in a Colonia Nacionalista shooting earlier this week, the police said
A man died and three others got injured after an early Monday shooting in the Colonia Nacionalista area.
According to police reports, two men arrived at the Siria Street residence and shot at the victims.
A reporting party told the police about four injured individuals.
Upon arrival, police officers found the injured men.
The victims were identified as Sergio, 64, who had a wound in the head, Alejandro, 38, who had an injury in a leg, and Mario Alejandro, 22, who had injuries in the face and the left arm.
The unidentified fatal victim had a wound on the head.
One of the victims told the police two men dressed in dark clothes arrived at the scene in a gray or golden Honda Accord.
The suspects first brandished shotguns and forced the victims down on the floor. Then, the suspects shot at the victims and later fled from the scene.
Red Cross paramedics transported two of the victims to the General Hospital.
At the scene, the police found five .223 mm caliber bullet casings.
Teenager dies in traffic accident
A teenager died over the weekend in a traffic accident reported by the San Felipe Highway.
San Felipe Mayor Jose Luis Dagnino confirmed the incident.
The mayor said the accident was reported at 5 p.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes by the Kilometer 121 Mark of the highway.
The teenager was a passenger of an undisclosed app taxi service.
According to the mayor the driver of the Didi service was detained for unknown reasons.
The teenagers did not have the safety belts locked.
Authorities said the vehicle was driven by an adult who was transporting three minors.
The other two injured minors were transported to a Mexicali hospital.
Man shot dead
A man was killed Friday evening in the Colonia CuauhtƩmoc Norte area.
According to police reports, the victim was transported to the Clinic 30 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security where he succumbed to the injuries.
The victim was identified as Oscar, 28.
Authorities said the victim had shotgun wounds in the chest, back, and arm.
The police have no leads about the suspect or suspects.
Teenagers nabbed for robbery, carjacking
Two 18-year-old men were caught Friday for allegedly committing a robbery.
The teenagers were arrested for the robbery of a big rig driver Friday morning at the Colonia Progreso in western Mexicali.
Authorities identified the suspects as Brian and Hector.
Police officers eventually found the vehicle and arrested the suspects.
Also, the police were able to find the robbed merchandise as well.
According to the authorities, the suspects utilized imitation firearms to commit the robbery.
The suspects were first transported to the Police Headquarters and later to the Attorney General’s office.
Indio resident caught with marijuana
An Indio teenager was arrested by state police officers with a bag of marijuana.
The state Department of Public Safety said Tuesday the suspect was identified as Johan Francisco āN,ā 18.
State police officers fond the young man by La CaƱada Street in the Fraccionamiento San Marcos area.
According to the agency, police officers found the suspect who allegedly threw a bag and attempted to flee on foot.
However, the suspect was stopped a few yards away.
Police officers found inside the bag 27 smaller bags with 14 grams of marijuana.
Attorney General’s office patrol car runs over a child
An 8-year-old boy was run over by a patrol car driven by an Attorney General’s office employee Monday.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at the Colonia Condesa Residencial.
The boy was riding a bicycle when the accident occurred, witnesses told the police.
According to the witnesses the patrol car driver allegedly ignored a stop sign.
The minor was transported to the General Hospital by Red Cross paramedics.
Alleged San Felipe murderer indicted
A man who allegedly killed another man in Oct. 2021 in San Felipe was indicted by a state judge.
The State Attorney Generalās office said JesĆŗs Guadalupe āN,ā no age reported, was indicted by a state judge for the murder of a 58-year-old man.
State police officers found and apprehended the suspect in the rural town of Guadalupe Victoria.
The agency said both the victim and the suspect have had issues.
However, during a fight, the suspect allegedly struck the victimās head.
The suspect fled from the scene after the incident, while the victim was transported to the San Felipe Health Center on Oct. 18, 2021.
The victim succumbed to the injuries days later.
State police officers booked the suspect in Mexicali Prison.
