A state official told a lawmaker that the football program at one of Baja California’s high school systems will be launched again under new undisclosed rules.

“We had to make changes in hiring coaches due to the new regulations mandated by the Professional Teaching Service on the education reform,” Herrera said. “We want to make sure students, parents and teachers know that the football and flag football leagues will continue at Cobach.”

The secretary said the state is committed to provide sports activities to students.
