    Body found in suitcase

    Members of an organization that seeks for missing people found a human body recently found in a suitcase

    Members of the Buscando a Paola y Desaparecidos found parts of a human body inside a suitcase in an irrigation canal early Sunday.

    The suitcase was reportedly found at 8:26 a.m. in the Tula Canal located next to the Pimsa industrial park in the Villa Residencial Colorado area.

    While searching for corpses, collective members found the suitcase with the heavily decomposed body.

    Mexicali Police officers and state police agents arrived at the scene to recover the suitcase.

    Traffic accidents leave three dead

    Two traffic accidents left Monday three people dead, according to media reports.

    In one of the incidents, a woman died while her children and husband were injured around 1 a.m. in Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard and Ninth Street in the Nuevo Mexicali area.

    While patrolling the area, police agents found the vehicles crashed at the scene.

    The authorities said Sergio was driving a white Nissan Maxima northbound by Ninth Street.

    Suddenly, the driver of a green pickup, who was identified as José Luis “N” ignored the stop light and impacted the Maxima.

    Paramedics declared the woman dead.

    The injured children and the driver of the Maxima were transported to a clinic of the Mexican Institute of Social Security.

    José Luis was arrested by the police and transported to the East Substation.

    The second incident took place Monday afternoon in the Nuevo León Highway close to Ejido Veracruz 1 rural town.

    The driver of a pickup impacted a cement mixer. Two children died and three people got injured.

    Two of the injured people were in serious condition.

    Mexicali Fire and Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene.

    Judge indicts homicide suspect

    A man who allegedly attempted to kill another male during a shooting in Oct. 2021 was indicted by a state judge, the Attorney General’s office said.

    According to the agency Juan Ricardo “N,” aka Topo, shot at a man and a minor on Oct. 19, 2021, in the Colonia Gabriela Mistral area.

    The suspect observed the victims who were in a gray Nissan Altima.

    Suddenly, the suspect allegedly shot at the victims.

    One of the victims was injured in the left arm and the back.

    The victim was transported to the General Hospital.

    Authorities said the minor did not get injured.

    The judge decided to keep the suspect in prison during the trial and gave prosecutors three months to close the investigation.

    Two indicted for home robbery

    A judge indicted a man and a woman for their alleged involvement in the Oct. 26 robbery of a colonia Popular Nacionalista area home.

    The state Attorney General’s office said José Guadalupe “N” and Sandy Michelle “N” were indicted for the robbery reported by Calzada Universidad Street.

    The suspects allegedly arrived at the home and brandished firearms towards occupants.

    According to the authorities the couple took electronic devices, food, smartphones, wallets and personal documents, as well as a Ford Mustang in which they fled.

    Before leaving, the suspects presumably assaulted the victims and shot once at the ceiling.

    The judge decided to keep the suspects in prison during trial and gave prosecutors two months to end the investigation.

    Man’s legs amputated by train

    A man who climbed over the train saw his legs cut Monday evening.

    According to media reports, the incident was reported at 9 p.m. in the Ejido Michoacán rural town.

    The police received a report about a man who got injured in a railroad accident.

    Upon arrival, police officers found the victim who initially was reported with a leg cut.

    However, after being transported to the hospital the authorities found out the 44-year-old man had both legs amputated.

    No other details were reported.

    Judge indicts convenience store robbery suspect

    A man was indicted by a state judge for his alleged involvement in an Oct. 27 robbery of a Fraccionamiento Villa Cortez area store.

    The state Attorney General’s office said Jesús Norberto “N,” aka “Gato,” was indicted for the late night robbery of the convenience store.

    According to the authorities the suspect and an accomplice arrived at the scene by 10:30 p.m.

    The suspects then asked an employee for a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of tequila. Then, the suspects demanded cash while brandishing a knife.

    The suspects fled with 500 pesos in cash and 1,540 pesos in merchandise.

    The judge decided to keep the suspect in prison during trial and gave prosecutors a month to conclude the investigation.
