Five men were arrested early Friday after allegedly committing a robbery in a store, said the Municipal Public Safety Department.
The police said a robbery was reported at 4 a.m. at Justo Sierra Avenue and Costa Rica Street at Colonia Cuauhtémoc neighborhood.
The victim told police officers the suspects arrived on scene and brandished a knife.
The suspects left the store with 817 pesos in Mexican currency coins and bills, eight cigarette packages and other items.
The suspects fled on a burgundy 2009 Ford Focus with California plates.
Police officers found and arrested Silvano “Doe,” 22, Joshua “Doe,” 21, Oscar “Doe,” 22, Alan “Doe,” 21 and Edgar “Doe,” 23.
The men were transported to the police headquarters, authorities said.
