Two men who allegedly committed a murder in southern Mexicali over two months ago were arrested by Ministerial police agents, said the Attorney General’s office.
Authorities identified the suspects as Luis Daniel “Doe” and Jesús Manuel “Doe,” no ages reported.
The agency said the men are related to the homicide of Jesús Enrique Vázquez on July 29 at Fraccionamiento Quintas del Rey neighborhood.
According to authorities the victim was driving his sand-colored Toyota Camry to the residence of his former girlfriend, located at Alzira Street.
The suspects, along with another man, were on scene and an argument began between victim and the now arrested men.
Luis Daniel brandished a revolver and threatened the victim, who in order to avoid problems left scene.
However, the three suspects chased the victim on a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The suspects found the victim at Fourth Street and Lago Cuitzeo Avenue at Ejido Xochimilco and shot him several times, authorities said.
The suspects were booked in Mexicali Jail.
Mexican fugitive apprehended
A man who had an active arrest warrant in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato was arrested Wednesday in Mexicali, said the Attorney General’s office.
Assistant Attorney General in Mexicali Fernando Ramírez said the suspect was identified as Isidro “doe,” no age reported.
The suspect was allegedly involved in the murder of recycling businesswoman Patricia María Méndez Ramírez in the city of Irapuato.
According to authorities the suspect was fired days before the homicide and argued with the victim for unknown reasons.
After chatting with his former co-workers for several hours at the business on March 20, 2015 the suspect allegedly forced the victim to enter his vehicle and left the site.
The victim’s family members reported the lady’s disappearance to the police, Ramírez said.
The victim’s body was found dead on Sunday March 22 by the side of the highway from Guanajuato to Juventino Rosas city by the community of Los Milagros.
The corpse had several injuries and firearm shots.
Guanajuato investigators determined the suspect left the city and moved to Mexicali after the murder.
The suspect was already transported to the state of Guanajuato, Ramírez said.
