A state judge indicted a Mexicali cop for a sexual assault recorded back in November during a traffic stop, according to the victim
A Mexicali cop was indicted for alleged sexual assault of an arrested woman.
Authorities said the judge indicted Jaime Francisco, no age reported, for aggravated rape.
The judge decided to keep the suspect in prison during trial and gave prosecutors four months to close the investigation, La Voz newspaper said.
According to the newspaper, the hearing was held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 27.
The suspect was indicted for a November 5 incident.
If convicted, the police officer faces up to 20years in prison.
The victim, who was identified as Lorena, told the newspaper the day of the crime she was driving towards her home along with her husband.
Two police officers detained the couple in the intersection of López Mateos Boulevard and Castellón Avenue.
The victim’s husband was assaulted by the police officers, the victim told the newspaper.
The suspect asked the victim to stay in the vehicle while her husband was kept away.
According to the victim, the police officer sat in the passenger’s seat and eventually forced her to have sex.
Although the second cop witnessed the sexual assault he did nothing to stop the crime.
The suspect allegedly asked the victim if she wanted her husband released or arrested. Lorena asked her husband to get released.
The victim said sperm was found in her clothes and were presented as evidence in the case.
The cop turned himself to police custody and appeared in court in December, when the hearing was delayed until last month.
Sinaloa couple nabbed
A couple that was sought in the state of Sinaloa for attempted murder was arrested in separate places in Mexicali.
The State Attorney General’s office said the suspects were identified as Melissa Xitlaly “N,” and Jacobo “N,” no ages reported.
Authorities said the woman was arrested in the Colonia Villa del Roble area and the man in the Colonia Rivera Campestre area.
The couple was sought in Sinaloa for attempted homicide and attempted robbery.
Sinaloa police officers arrived in Mexicali in order to take the suspects in custody.
Judge indicts man for sexual abuse
A man was sentenced by a judge for equated violation, the Attorney General’s office said.
According to the authorities, the judge indicted Marvin «N,» no age reported, for the Jan. 19 incident.
The agency said the suspect was caught by a relative while committing the crime.
No details were provided about how the crime occurred.
Family members dialed 9-1-1 and police officers arrested the suspect.

Murder suspect sentenced
A state judge sentenced a man to 60 years in prison for a September 2020 double homicide.
The state Attorney General’s office said Jose Francisco Acero Garcia, aka Pancho, no age reported, was sentenced for the murder of a man and a woman in the Fraccionamiento Misión de Puebla area.
According to the authorities, the convicted man arrived at the scene and ignited a fire with a Molotov cocktail.
The victims, who were identified only as Patricia and Omar, died of smoke intoxication.
The suspect fled from the scene.
A judge issued an arrest warrant against the suspect four days after the incident.

Suspects convicted for murder
Two men were sentenced by a state judge to 22 years in prison for homicide.
The state Attorney General’s office said Iván Alvarado González, aka “Diablo,” and José de Jesús García Cantú, aka “Pepe,” no ages reported, were also sentenced for carjacking.
According to the agency, the victim, who was only identified as Adrian, arrived on an undisclosed date with his 2012 Honda Civic at Alvarado González’s Colonia Santa Clara area home.
The suspects took the victim’s vehicle and then caused Adrian injuries with a knife.
The suspects then shot at the victim.
Adrian succumbed to the injuries at the scene.
According to the agency, the suspects buried the corpse in an empty lot located next to the residence. Eventually, the suspects extracted and burned the body.
The suspects were convicted after prosecutors and the defense attorney reached an agreement.
